Video on installing the Printer Logic App on Mac

Printer Logic only works with Firefox and Chrome. Safari is not a supported web browser.

1. Open the Manager app from your dock
2. If there are printers you need to keep on your computer such as a printer that you use at home, please call the helpdesk at x5100 or submit a ticket by emailing helpdesk@wayzataschools.org to get help identifying and keeping the specific printer/s you need.

If you do not need to keep any of your printers, choose "Self-Service" in the upper left corner, the "My Scripts" category on the left side, and then click "Execute Now" on Delete All Printers as shown at right.
  • Please wait 30 seconds, then continue to step 3
3. Click on "Self-Service," the "My Apps" category on the left, and then install on "Printer Logic"
4. When the installation completes, you will see the printer logic icon visible in the top menu bar.
  • The icon may show multiple times or disappear during the completion of the installation process. This behavior is normal and you will end up with just 1 icon in the top menu bar within 2 minutes of the application completing its installation process.
5. Click on the Printer Logic icon and choose "Add printer"
6. This will open your default browser and if you are prompted to install an extension in your browser, click to install it. After the extension installs or if you are currently signed into myapps.microsoft.com, you will see the screen shown at right next.
7. After clicking the "Add Printer" button from step 5, you will now see in your browser a folder for your building.
8. Click once on a printer in your building you want to install
  • This step can take up to a minute to complete. Please be patient!
9. The following series of prompts will take about 2 minutes to complete. Choose "Yes" when prompted to install.

10. Click "OK"
  • If you receive a message saying "this printer is already installed", continue to step 11
11. When you print something to this printer, it will be 'held' by the printer system. You will need to 'release' your print job by using a computer or a mobile app as shown below:
  • Mac Print Release Process
    • Click on the MyApps Link
    • Find and click on the Printer Logic icon
    • Then go to Menu>Pull Printing>Print Job Management as shown at right
  • iPad App Release: follow steps 14-16 (Regular print release) or 18-20 (QR code release) on this article: Link
