Automatically Installed Apps

Some core apps are automatically pushed to all student iPads. These apps include but are not limited to the following:

Installing Additional Apps

If you have a need for an app, please go through your classroom teacher or case manager to have the app requested.

 

App Name and Icon

Description

MANAGER (SELF SERVICE)

The Manager app is an in-house app store that contains additional apps available for students to install. The apps available within Manager (previously named Self Service) are determined by teachers and curriculum.

APPLE APP STORE

The Apple app store is NOT available to students. If you need a specific app for educational purposes added to the Self Service application,  please speak with one of your teachers. They can request to have additional apps added to Self Service.

 

iOS Update Policy

In order to keep your iPad secure and functional, you are responsible for keeping it updated. District communications will be sent throughout the school year when an iOS update is required. If your iPad does not meet the iOS version requirements described in those communications by the date specified, it will be placed into a strict LOCKED DOWN mode until the update is complete.

Directions for updates

 

Notability: Turn On Auto-Backup!

  1. Tap Notability  app on the home screen.

  2. Tap the Gear icon in the lower-left corner of the screen.

  3. Tap Auto-Backup.

  4. Tap Google Drive.

  5. Log in with your district email credentials.

  6. Tap Allow.

  7. Tap Close.

 

Purchase Insurance (Optional)

Important: Insurance is only available to 6th-12th grade students.

  1. Tap the iPad Insurance web clip on the home screen.

  2. Tap on Enroll now.

  3. Enter required personal information.

  4. Check the box for accepting the terms and conditions.

  5. Tap Pay to complete insurance purchase.
