When you sign in to your SMART Account, the Files Library is synchronized to your SMART Account. A number of things happen when the File Library is synchronized to your SMART Account:

  • The display’s Files Library synchronizes with your SLS Online lesson library. You can open the lesson on the display and deliver it, and changes are saved and synchronized to your lesson library.

  • Any files uploaded from SMART Notebook desktop software to SLS Online or your SMART Account appear in the Files Library.

  • When you create a new whiteboard or lesson file in Player, it is saved to your Files Library and your SLS Online lesson library.

    NOTE 

    In Settings> Application settings > SMART Whiteboard > Default Whiteboard Location, select My Files > SLS Files to save files to your Files Library and your SLS Online lesson library.

SSynchronizing your files to the display

When you sign in to your display using your SMART Account, file synchronization turns on. Open the Files Library and select My Files > SLS Files to view the synchronized files. Select a file to open it in the iQ experience’s Player app.


To share a SMART Notebook lesson file to your SMART Account

  1. From the SMART Notebook menu, select Share.

    The Share dialog box opens.

  2. Click Upload to SMART Account.

    The lesson is added to your SMART Account and you can sign in to your SMART Account on a SMART Board with iQ or SLS Online to deliver the lesson. To get a link to share your lesson, click Get share link.

  3. Click Done to close the dialog box.

To share a non-Notebook file to your SMART Account

  1. Open the document in its application. For example, if the file you want is an Adobe PDF file, open the file in the Adobe PDF application.

  2. From the application’s main menu, select File > Print.

    The Print dialog box opens.

  3. From the Printer: drop down menu, select Send to SMART Cloud.

  4. Click Print.

    The Send to SMART Cloud dialog box opens.

  5. Click Upload to SMART Account.

    The lesson is added to your SMART Account and you can sign in to your SMART Account on a SMART Board with iQ or SLS Online to deliver the lesson. To get a link to share your lesson, click Get share link.

  6. Click Done to close the dialog box.


Sharing using Google Drive


To share using Google Drive:

  1. Log into your Google account on the panel.
  2. Find the file you would like to save to the Smartpanel.
    1. If the file is a PDF or image:
      1. Tap and hold on the file to open the Context menu.
      2. Tap Download.
    2. If the file is a Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide:
      1. Tap the file you want to save to open the document.
      2. From the File menu at the top, select "Download" and then "PDF Document"
  3. Once the file is downloaded, tap on the home button on the panel and tap on file.
  4. The downloaded file should be in the file folder. 
  5. Tap the download document to open the file.
  6. Log out of your Google account.
