Below are directions on how to change your computer password when the password will be expiring soon.

In the menu bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen, locate the JAMF Connect icon as shown to the right.


If you have it, the number next to the icon is dynamic and represents the number of days left until your password expires. It starts displaying in the icon when you have 90 days or fewer left to change your password.


 


2 Click “Change Password”

Put your current password in the “Old Password” field, and create a new password in the following two fields.


Complexity requirements

-Minimum password length: 16

-Password history: 5 - When you change your password, you can’t use 5 previous passwords.

-Password requirements:

-No Spaces

-Not Easy for a Human to Guess - i.e. 000000000000000 or Password12345678

Approve the authentication prompt on your device. This may be a call, text, or app approval.

Type in your old password followed by your new 16 character password twice

Click “Ok”

**If prompted, type your old password and then “Sync”

1 While logged into your computer, press CTRL + ALT + DEL on your keyboard.
2 Click Change a password.
3 Type your current password into the "Old password" field. Next, type a new password (must be 16+ characters in length) into the "New password" and "Confirm password" fields. Lastly, press "Enter" on your keyboard.
