Back Up Windows 10 Data to Google Drive (Desktop Application) This article will explain the process to back up the data from your Windows 10 computer, to the Google Drive desktop app. Please note the bold titles for the sections as they will guide you to the proper section if you have already installed Google Drive or not. Where to Start: Set up Google Drive App **(First time)** Install Google Drive for Desktop from Software Center located on your Desktop Click on the Windows icon in the lower left of your screen Scroll to the "D" section Click on Google Drive to open it Select Get Started in the lower right corner Select Sign In If you haven't logged into it before, you will be prompted to login with your district email. Enter that and click Next. You will be directed to a Wayzata Log In screen and type your email address again Enter your password and click Sign In and then follow the 2 factor authentication prompts. On the "Make sure that you downloaded this app from Google" Screen select Sign In When you have successfully signed in you will get this screen Open File Explorer Select Google Drive (G:) Double click on MyDrive Click on the Home tab at the top Click on New Folder Name the folder and press Enter Double click on this new folder to open it. It will be empty. Do not close this window Open Google Drive **(Already set up)** Open FileExplorer You should see Google Drive in your Frequent folders or your QuickAccess folder. Double click to open it from either location Double click MyDrive Click on the Home tab at the top Click on New Folder Name the folder and press enter Double click on this new folder to open it. It will be empty. Do not close this window Back Up Data: Right click on the File Explorer icon and select File Explorer to open a second window Click on This PC on the left side of the window Double click on the Windows (C:) drive Double click the Users folder Find your user folder Double click your user folder to open it You will have these folders inside Drag the following folders to your backup folder you created in the other window.
