Step One: Export Bookmarks


Mac Instructions:



    Firefox

  • Open Firefox
  • Click on the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.  Click Bookmarks and then click the Manage Bookmarks bar at the bottom.
  • From the toolbar on the Library window, click Export Bookmarks to HTML… from the drop-down menu.
  • Select Google Drive.
  • Select My drive.
  • Name the file.
  • Click Save.




    Safari

  • Open Safari
  • Go to “File” menu > “Export Bookmarks”
  • Save it to your personal network folder, or to your Desktop then copy it to your network folder.



    Chrome

  • Open Chrome.
  • Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  • Select Bookmarks.
  • Click Bookmark manager.
  • Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  • Click Export bookmarks.
  • Name the file.
  • Navigate to your Google drive.
  • Click My Drive.
  • Click Open.
  • Click Save.



PC Instructions:



    Firefox

  • Open Firefox

  • Select Google Drive.
  • Select My drive.
  • Name the file.

    Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge

  • Open Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge.
  • Click the Favorites icon in the upper left (or right) corner.
  • Click the dropdown arrow next to “Add to Favorites”.
  • Click Import and export.
  • Click Export from a file. Click Next.
  • Check Favorites. Click Next.
  • Select Favorites. Click Next.
  • Click Browse. Navigate to your P drive.
  • Name the file.
  • Click Save.
  • Click Export.
  • Click Finish.



    Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Bookmarks.
  4. Click Bookmark manager.
  5. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  6. Click Export bookmarks.
  7. Navigate to your Google drive.
  8. Click My Drive.
  9. Click Open.
  10. Name the file.
  11. Click Save.



Step Two: Import Bookmarks



    Firefox

  1. Open Firefox
  2. Click on the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.  Click Bookmarks and then click the Manage Bookmarks bar at the bottom.
  3. From the toolbar on the Library window, click Import and Backup.
  4. Select “Restore” > “Choose File”
  5. Select the previously exported file and click “Open”.



    Safari

  1. Open Safari
  2. Go to “File” menu > “Import Bookmarks”
  3. Select the previously exported file and click “Import”.


    Chrome

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Go to “Bookmarks” menu > “Bookmark Manager”
  3. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner.
  4. Choose Import bookmarks.
  5. Navigate to your Google drive.
  6. Click My Drive.
  7. Click Open.
  8. Choose the correct file.
  9. Click Open.



    Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Hit the “Alt” button on your keyboard, and the menu bar will appear.
  3. Go to “File” menu, > “Import and export...”
  4. Select “Import from a file” and click “Next >”
  5. Select “Favorites” and click “Next >”
  6. Click the “Browse...” button and select the list of bookmarks you backed up earlier and click “Next >”
  7. Select “Favorites” as your destination folder and click “Import”
  8. Once all favorites are imported, click “Finish”
